What can we expect in real estate in 2025?

Annual appreciation rates may range from 3-5%, reflecting the community’s prestige and location. Our coastal areas will continue to attract buyers from Los Angeles, San Francisco, AZ, and TX, especially those seeking second homes, investment opportunities, or the desire to relocate to Orange County.

Supply is expected to remain constrained due to limited new listings and low turnover within the community. Sellers with unique properties (e.g., proximity to the beach, panoramic views, newly constructed) are poised to benefit the most. Our Newport Beach market is set to remain robust, supported by limited supply, steady demand, and the timeless allure of our coastline.

As always, please reach out if you have any questions or comments regarding your local market.

Researchers have estimated that a single ChatGPT query requires almost 10 times as much electricity to process as a traditional Google search. By 2034 annual global energy consumption by data centers is expected to top 1,580 terawatt-hours—about as much as is used by all of India—compared to about 500 today. Data centers need to be cooled and can consume more than a billion liters of water a day — much of it drinking quality, enough to supply 3.3 million people for a day. Metals like steel, silicon, quartz, copper and germanium are required to manufacture chips, circuits, and processors. (Bloomberg)

An array of cameras and sensors allows the robot to process visual information and determine anything you may have left on the floor. You can even use the company’s app to program the arm so that it knows to put your dirty socks in the hamper every time it comes across them. The Saros Z70 is expected to start around $2,000 when it goes on sale later this year.

WILDFIRE RELIEF

HOME is so important...it’s so much more than just the structure; it's our safe haven, the place that holds all our memories and houses our loved ones, our children, our pets. Since the LA Fires began last Tuesday, it's hard to fathom the losses that people have endured.

This past week, I've been helping those in need, families who have come to Orange County seeking refuge. Compass Cares, our charitable arm, has a GoFundMe for Wildfire Relief that has raised over $200K and counting. Please donate if you feel compelled to help directly with people who have lost their homes. Additionally, if you have a furnished home that is not currently being used...and are open to a short-term lease, please contact me.
